While it has just become yet another holiday for many across the US, this poignant piece in the NYT shows how much it means to those families who have lost their loved ones in a war. I wish there was something like this to honor our forces too, the countless anonymous soldiers who didn't live to see another day, just because of the whims and fancies of some bureaucrats which put them in situations no one would want to be in.
