Why would anyone in their right mind pay Rs. 15 lakhs for 3 doors when they can get 75 doors, give or take a few, of comparable performance, albeit slightly compromised quality for the same price? I agree this is not a fair argument, since they do claim that its targeted at "high-income, style-oriented youth" (also known as 30-something, balding, out-of-shape stock brokers for they are the possibly the only ones who could afford this abomination of a car). It is sad to see the automakers of the world pouncing on a vast market with such run of the mill offerings, when they have the prime opportunity to do something more to revolutionize the market given the congestion, high oil prices and what not. Its a whole other minefield of arguments as to whether we really do need more cars in the first place.
