On cola life

How about this initiative (via:Goli) for a good laugh..a blatant example of trying to burnish one's reputation by getting on board with a laudable idea proposed by a third party, when the same company is involved in more heinous doings like this. An interesting and ironic state of affairs all at the same time, based on the Marie Antoinette school of thought I suppose...drink cola when you don't get clean water (I know that is not what the campaign is trying to achieve, but as is my wont, couldn't resist putting in that possibly completely irrelevant analogy here :) )

The sad part is that if a company peddling mostly unhealthy stuff can make such inroads into the deepest, inaccessible parts of a country why can't other groups or the government do it? I'm sure the answer lies in something more than sheer financial muscle that a huge multinational corporation can throw into building up such a network. In the meantime, chalk one up for the power of globalization.
